I think something needs to be done about all the constant flow of e-bay threads. Every day someone adds another thread about something they saw on ebay. It's really not that amusing anymore.
The site is for selling your junk and , for some people, selling nothing. Like air guitars. It was amusing the first 100 times someone posted and air guitar, and the guy selling 'nothing' was very amusing. Hell I get a kick out of every single damn bike on ebay being posted up on here.
I was thinking that people could either:
Get over it and only post up stuff it's it really important, say like if you are going to buy the item in question or are thinking about it.
Or maybe someone needs to make a thread specifically for ebay.

Fair enough I don't have to read the threads, but they push down decent topics and waste bandwidth.
Anyone agree?

i do agree in many ways! (note my appology at start of the football post)

but one thing about your post.

if i saw a deal on ebay that was genuine and i was going to bid for it i would not post the ebay link! less people that know hopefully the cheaper i would get it.

but there are so many ebay scams out there it is unbelivable.

Anyone agree?

No. Some are good. For example. RM7 for 1000? gotta be sus?

agreed. lol i suppose im a victim to it by posting my new camera i bought but yeh there was another message within the thread so it makes up for it. People are constantly posting "another ebay thread". I am also sick of it as there is nothing really interesting about the stuff that is posted. If it interesets you by people selling "nothing" than thats great but think of all the other people it WOULDNT strike interest too.

Yeh, i can understand the odd one. But there are just soooo many useless ones around. Usually all the same.

I mentioned that a thread could be stickied for ebay stuff.

I reckon its at a level that, while it seems to get a disporportional amount of attention compared to other stuf, is still not at a point where its really that bad. So I think don't worry about it.

It is just one of those things. Its wierd that theres always a new thread based around Ebay, but thats just the way it is. Try and seperate Ebay from the actual point of the post, like think, there's a shaft driven bike, interesting; theres a guy selling his bike awful cheap with a fully suss description - dodgy?; there's an awesome example of a classic bike!

That kinda thing.

Speaking of Ebay however. Help me fund my new frame!

Buy all the crap I don't want!

i think there should be one sticky ebay message titled *weird ebay stuff for sale* and then every 1 posts there ebay items from time to time. with no reply messages, just the urls and there discription. that way everyone sees it and we dont get all these stupid waste of space articals.

or we can just ban them.
i go for the 2nd one
