i just looked in the dj/4X/urban/trials forum and i noticed that one person(not going t5o say who but you can probably work it out if you really want to) had managed to grave dig at least 5 seperate topics in this forum alone. i don't know if theres anything that can be done about it and it's not a big thing, it's just one of those little annoying things that adds up.

i know this has been done many times before but it's more so that person might see this and learn in future without everyone giving them shit about it.

There is no such thing as gravedigging. Only postwhoring. If they are being bumped with seriously pointless posts then fry the asshole.

i posted some links before but then i took them away because that kinda defeated the point of not naming the person.

Just don't let it bug you. There are greater problems in the world.

Well the problem lies in that they can either grave dig, or open a new thread.
They have a choice of being yelled at for grave digging, or get blasted with "this topic already exists, asshole."
Most of the time the 'grave dug' thread is still just as valid and relevant as it was at the time of posting.

i know that most of the time it's relevant but these ones were fairly useless posts, things like "those look like some nice jumps" and stuff like that.

dylma, I don't think they're talking about you champ.

Samuel is going great, and samuel t (coincidence?) is almost catching up.
I love reading the same threadss over and over, it's great.

:) My original judgement still stands...

But like I said before, its an attitude thing. (that wasn't directed at you Anfon.)

What original judgement?
I'm not a negative person, I just have a very short temper.

The one that got deleted. And I was just talking about the posts you often make, in particular bein harsh to noobs. I don't actually know you.

Doesn't matter anyway.

Bah, ignore me, i'm getting confused between different threads.
I was talking about what I said in the 'time for a change' thread in general announcements.

Ok . . . put me out of my misery and tell me what the hell you are talking about.
I'm guessing it's when you said I was a negative person?

Yes, and then you made a seemingly sarcasticly enthusiastic post above. And then I commented on that. And thats about it.

And when I said "like I said before" I was also referring to the other thread.

We're probably gonna get scolded for having this conversation publicly anyway, so we should end it.

Not my problem.
Anyway, haha, it does seem a little too enthusiastic. But it was mostly on the sarcastic/piss taking side of things, not of you of course.

edit: Anyway, there's not really much point of me going berko when Samuel is not even going to read in here, instead, he/she is just still going along bringing up old topics.

I dont see a problem in "grave digging" if they have something legitimate to add to the thread. Saves opening a new thread. There really no such things as grave digging - just postwhores who randomly post in old threads for the sake of it. For example in the phat snaps section - one postwhore went around saying "nice pics bro" and "sweet" in threads AT LEAST 2 months old....

THAT is a postwhore.

so would this be classed as grave digging ?
i think even know it has some info and input into the thread it may be past it's used by date

Hey I just had a thought - if mods/admins (modmins?) deleted useless digs, and subsequent bashing, would the thread go back to its original position? And if it doesn't, I think it should. It would be an easy solution for gravedigs.

modmin - prop noun, relevant to internet forums, a position of "demigod" status below the ultimate power of the creator (admins) and above that of the forum's lowly "clergy" (mods).
