There's a brief report and some pics of the 2003 World Mountain bike Championships downhill course over at britishcycling.org.uk.

well it looks like a bike snaper to me but that 300m road bit is a little stupid.well just a little. but a track that has bridges a tunnels can't be beet i say.

the road gap looks pretty smooth.... it comparison to tracks i've ridden that one is completely different... looks cold too... damn that cold :(
