I think its a good idea to put the state or city youre from into the for sale template title. I know its already in the message itself, but it saves having to go into the thread if the bikes from the other side of australia and costs a fortune to ship it to your current location.

maybe add this idea to the for sale template sticky?

I think it would be a good reccomendation. I've seen it used on another forum, where sellers would have [syd] or [melb] etc as the start of their post title. But to enforce the rule is a bit much, just keep it as a reccomedation/guideline.

I think that with relatively cheap freight and postage here in OZ the labling of a State might actually work against a seller with some buyers not even bothering to look at an ad because they mistakenly think it will cost a fortune.

One good seeling point would be for the seller to actually investigate freight cost and include THAT in their for sale ad.

I'm with Grip, most sellers seem pretty willing to post interstate. Perhaps instead sellers who won't post can put [Vic Only], [Syd Only] etc.

One of my friends was looking to get a bike from vic and it was going to cost 180 to ship. Thats why i put this thread up, but is that figure wrong? what would it normally cost?

i think the $180 is a bit wrong, as it only cost me $73 to get my bike across the nuallabor from adelaide-perth, including the box.
im with grip on this one, people who wont post should say so in the title, i hate going into something and having a look at it only to find out sydney only or something.

I think some indication of state/city would be really helpful. Not everyone is willing to pay away big cash for a bike unseen.
