just checking out mtbr.com,
not good to hear people dying in your sport

i just cant believe they would have a 40ft drop in a race
i think it's a hoax, 8/9/2002 dated photos when it says "breaking news, lack of specators and bunting for a race, if it was real we would of heard about it when it happened (look at the date on the pics (2002)) i'd say it's really a hiker or just a regular mtb crash which ended up in hospital. still very sad for who ever was involved though.

Unless it is that guy that tried to jump the Great Wall of China on a fully rigid bike. That was about the same time of the year.
That guy who tried to jump the great wall is a crazy bastard , only wore a xc lid and some fox gloves :\. Maybe the spectators should not have moved him when he was on the ground...
I diunno bout the pic with the helicopter tho.... :?
yeh it did look fairly dodgy
i just though i post it here and
see what others think
yeh the 40ft drop in a race doesnt look very realistic

thats pretty crappy. like sad enough a rider dying one did last year in whistler i think. but yeah that just looks dodgy. im sooooo sorry if it is real though. that would be disrespectful to the max. if it is real and you know the person tell us and prove us wrong. if not then i will live in speculation.

sounds pretty dodgy.... just cause theres a pic of a chopper flying away doesnt mean someone died
Maybe the spectators should not have moved him when he was on the ground...
Not really true because the airway can be serverly comprimised in some cases, when an unconcious patient is on their back their tongue is some cases may block the airway. I could get more technical but I wont 8)

Fair enough... But then they could have worsened his injuries aswell - if that was possible. He was fu*ked after that stunt.... :?
