Sorry, but I'm genuinely on the verge of selling my pride and joy - just dont know what price to put on her! So help me out and shoot some numbers my way. I dont want to give this bike away, but I do want the person buying it to get a good deal - I guess I just want to find a price thats fair for both of us. I have a number in my head but dont know what is realistic.
Anyway heres a pic and the parts list.
http://www.farkin.net/forums/album_thumbnail.php?pic_id=9927 (http://www.farkin.net/forums/album_pic.php?pic_id=9927)
Frame: 2001 Norco Sasquatch, would be about 14.5 "normal" sizing.
Fork: 2002 Fox Vanilla R, just rebuilt with new seals. Fork in new condition.
Brakes: Magura Gustav M front, Hayes mech rear, both with brand new pads. SD7 lever for the rear.
Drivetrain: 8 speed XT shifter, XT chain, XT cassette. 105 short cage deraileur. All 90% new, and VERY hard to find 8 speed.
EXPENSIVE Tioga sealed MX pedals, Hussefelt cranks and Aireal chain guide. Race Face DH ring.
RWheel: D521 rim, DT spokes, Da Bomb hub.
FWheel: Alex DX32 rim, Formula disk hub, Sapim spokes.
Other: Fizik Atlas DH saddle, Azonic bars, Titec stem, IRC lock on ruffian grips.
The bike will come with brand new IRC Kujo tires 2.3/2.65".
As you can see the only things I have not upgraded on this bike are the seatpost and headset. Other than that, not much to spend really.
So how much could I expect to get for it?
honestly at most $1200 id say
at the end of the day its worth what someone else is willing to pay for it

Sell it up induvidually if you can. You'll get more money.
If not, set the price at $900.

maybe this isnt a good thing to advertise, as replacing parts can be a hassle, although i know people like 8 speed :roll:

no offence, but it seems to be common enough not to be co-incidence.
put it this way kiddies: if you are going to post something, and it doesn't fall into one of the following categories:
1) important news
2) general interest
3) buying/selling
4) general question
(i may of missed a couple of points here)
then it probably should be said in msnm, or not said at all.

amen to that, i was just talking to some1 the otherr night about groups of friends gettin on here and using it like a chat room. some threads are composed mostly of posts by people who are obviously friends. please dont waste our time.
on topic, 900-1000 would be a fair price i reckon. nice bike btw.

I think you're on to something. Maybe an autoban for those that have fox logo avatars...

Thanks for the input and compliments guys, I'm just selling it off as bits at the moment.
Starting with the forks, take a look in the for sale section if your interested I'm asking $350.
quick calculations on how much i've actually spent (ie below retail where applicable):
forks = 500
rear wheel = 200
front brake = 400
bars/stem/lock-ons= 130
pedals = 140
chain guide = 200
chain/shifter/cassette/deraileur = 320
seat = 100
tires = 80
$2100 plus the $1400 the bike originally cost me if you want to include that = ~$3500 FARK ME
better to part it up!
