I have welded a disc mount onto a alloy frame once and it worked fine. You just have to make sure that it is perfectly in line with the dropouts

www.gripsport.com.au Click on the "Photo Album" button and there's a whole album there of disc brake mounts and how it's done.

What frame is it?
And is there any real reason to have discs? I don't want to take any work away from Grip, but have you asked yourself why you need discs? if it's an "oversized bmx" bike, I'd be more inclined to run V brakes.

cause disc brakes are better
cause disc brakes are better
for what, folding on the coping or getting in the way when you grind a ledge?
dosen't sound like it'll be a very useful 'big bmx'
