Customs ---> Do they apply to 2nd Hand?

hey peoples,
i bought a pair of 2nd hand marzocchi forks from the USA and they were scheduled to arrive about 13 days ago, now i payed postage and insurance etc, im just wondering if they have some kind of customs costs which i know apply to new goods but not sure bout 2nd hand. Can anyone shed some light? How long does customs take to process? etc

Not usually, normally the seller will mark the item as a gift on the forms... Escaping customs fees.

What side of the USA did the forks come from? What shipping methodsw ere used?... Items from the Eastcost of the USA generally take about a three days to week longer to arrive.(I have found)

i hate international postage, it gives me the shits
