If you mean tips about speeches, I find the single most annoying thing when someone is giving a speech and not looking at the audience. Make sure you know what you are going to say, read it all through, memorise it. Don't rely on reading off a page, because the audience can do that for themselves.

Well the reason why most people are afraid to do speeches are because they dont know what they're talking about.
So MTB should be easy for you Sparks, what exactly do you have to talk about MTB, give us so MORE detail.

Talk about something that'll interest the class... don't go too in depth, just try and wow them with cool stuff.
As much as you love riding, I bet noone else does, but you want to keep their attention, so just skim over the technical stuff and go straight to the "oohhh wow" material.

Avoid the jargon too. Use words that anyone will be able to realte to, not just people who understand the lingo.

Dude, I have to give about 6 presentations a year and the best advice I've ever been given is stand infront of a mirror and rehearse it over and over and over etc. Seriously, you can never do it enough times. You will get to a point where you know it backwards but that will not be enough. Trust me, you will feel confident untill you get up there and the nerves will kick in and you'll HAVE to revert back to your notes. If you afraid of reading TO your notes, rehearse enought times and you will be able to use only prompt cards (essential ponts, firstline of each sentence, key words, whatever your comfotable with). This will make it impossible to just read them out all monotone and boring. Also, try to adlib and be a LITTLE chatty, it breaks it up a bit and gives the audience a feeling that you are having a conversation with them instead of just "being told how it is". My old man has done heaps of this stuff and Toastmasters etc. They work!
Good luck mate!
dude all you have to do is talk smoothly...no pauses and no "Umms and Err"
You will be set!!!

Confidence, if you're confident they will believe anything you tell them, and enjoy it.
I used to do most of my speeches and presentations in school and uni with no prep. I think adlib is awesome, so jsut get up there, prepared or not and know that you're gonna kick ass. If you look like you know what you're talking about, and sound like it, then know one will question it.
So yeh, no umming and ahhing. A few pictures wll aid you if you're allowed them. Also throw in jokes, jokes are the hardest thing ot pull off, make a bit of a fool of yourself, but then go back to being serious. Just something that shows your confidence, and that will get you marks.
