yeah, i don't mind it although i haven't really seen that much of it. i liked akira, ghost in the shell, ninja scroll, urotsukidoji (i've only seen the movies of the first two, and the first episode of the third series), 3*3 eyes, vampire hunter d, x, armitage. i'd like to have a look at blood:the last vampire and a few others as well.

"rice" = I think originally an insult used by motorbike riders referring to Japanese motorcycles: "rice burner". Just like people used to call the Italian guy of the group "spaghetti", asian products were referred to as "rice".

So, you can call a Japanese car "rice" and still fall in line with the original insult.
But now, as you've described, I assume it developed through internet forums, the term "rice" means a modification made to suggest/imply performance, but is only for aesthetic benefit.

cowboy bebop whole series, eva whole series, ghost in a shell, akira, ninja scroll, flcl, vampire hunter d, metropolis, and many more, and yeah i have heard of that car racing anime (forget what its called) my brother downloaded a episode to see what it was like and i reckon it was a waste of time really, it was pretty boring and the anime wasnt that good

Yea go NAruto! :P He steals the forbidden scroll and spends one night mastering shadow replication technique. Such a great anime. I dont think it's finished yet either or perhaps it's just finished now. Last time i went overseas they didn't have the whole episodes on DVD.

Yea Dragon ball is an anime. And yes i have to agree, the jap version is a lot better. They just cant show all the violence on cheeze TV coz of all the young viewers. There would definitely b many complaints from parents if it wasnt cut out. I have a cantonese version....it's gory to the max :P ....plus i understand what they're saying. Coz I dont know japanese lol.
