I know this was asked a month or too ago but maybe put in some state sub-forums to organise rides etc. maybe just for a trial period?

I think perhaps seperate state forums would really spread out the whole community alot. I like at the moment the way everyone reads the general forums and discusses topics together. Maybe if we just had one forum dedicated to hooking up rides or races? Perhaps just putting in the topic of the thread (so people know whats going on and dont get confused).

I.E. Toowoomba, QLD, trail maintenance, 13th July
or NSW, STATE ROUND, 15th July

Something like that?

Also even though this is not about the forums.
is it possible to sub-divide the new photo gallery so that when you post pics you can put them under a heading then that opens up?
This would save having to look through endless pages for pics.
Especially when people post like 20+ pics at a time

can the classifides be sub devided.ie seperate suspension/componets/bikes/frames ect.... maybe..
its just that the for sale section gets so much traffic that if u dont look at it for a few days u could miss out

I wouldn't mind a calendar for each region, maybe make someone in each state a mod (just for that forum) so they can keep it updated.

Calendars are works in progress, note the "Send us your Calendar" sticky in General Discussion. So far I've got 2 calendars as a result, so it's not working as well as we'd hoped.

Where are they going to be posted?

I would like to see the 5 dots under the status'. You get another dot each time you hit a certain number of posts. It helps to seperate the user names from the avatars and can be easily implemented. Looks a little better too.

Cheers Josh.

I think the site is coming along nicley but that separate state forum thing would be good

the problem I can see with having the 7 seperate states thing is you will start to have too many forums. Just look at mtb.dknx. I reckon having the one forum which is dedicated to "organise a ride" is a great idea :)

I'm against the seperate forum thing. You're just going to cut down the number of people that are going to view each thread, because not everyone can be bothered to check 6 or so forums.

Agree totally... but it's probably too old an issue now anyway.

How about having more contests - best photo, best wipeout, funniest riding story...

the caption contest you ran a couple months ago was great. More of those would get everyone participating and a chance for smaller brands, shops etc to get a little more exposure.

Well I reckon Scott's avatar is a contender for shot of the week on its own!! Christ... if ever there was proof that it's NOT a good idea to wrap a kid up in cotton wool till he's twenty and then suddenly fill him up with E's, show him a pic of Pamela Anderson in the nude and then dump him out of the car in the middle of King's Cross, then the expression on that face is IT!
