Hey folks

I'm coming up to Brissy this weekend and was wondering some decent areas are to check out. Transport might be a hassle (only two of us, not a good idea to ride alone if it's deathtrap stuff), so it doesn't have to be shuttle, can be general tracks with some more interesting sections with a few challenges. I know of some of the stuff up at Mt Cooties (from online maps etc) but was wondering about some other areas that I might be able to check out.

Cheers, might see some of you up there.

Clear mountain seems to be getting pretty popular. It's good if you like gap jumps. There's also lots of XC in that area as well. Bunyaville state forest is good XC/FR territory. No DH though.

Best option for loacl trails is to check out this site , which has a comprehensive list of local trails.

the good dh at cootha is pretty much gone... clear mountain is pretty good but to walk to the top takes some effort... did it once, never again..
could try maybe ipswich blackstone... not the best track but its ok... but yeah check out mtbdirt... there is a list of dh tracks in the trails section somewhere listing them and rating...

There still are some very good tracks at Mt Cootha, i ride there everyweekend with mates. but since the rangers have come up and made some tracks illegal on, they have taken away some of the dh tracks, ther are some sweet tracks at ipswich and down the gold coast at Nerang.

Hows about trying some Mt Gravatt there are 2 DH runs up there and ones easier with only small jumps but is shit fast and then theres Blasphemy which has man size drops in it and some farkin huge jumps wiht not much room to land but if you do the easier one theres a fire road from the bottom of the trail to the top

1. It's illegal to ride at Mt Gravatt (I'm assuming you mean Mt Gravatt Mountain)
2. Read the original post, this thread is a month old, FuTAnT has been and gone
