twiddle the twiddly things and put air in the hole until it feels fine and dandy. dude, experiment before posting. oh and it helps if it is in the frame as well

maybe you should read the manual first which tells you what the adjustments do. Also a lot depends on the bike, because different bikes have different leverage ratios. It would help if you used your brain before posting in the future. That is assuming you have one?

fiddle with it, test different variations. or if it is to complicated turn them both all the way to the left and they will have no effect. thats what the manual sayd anyway

I'd explain, but there is alot of math...

OK so I don't really know, but here are some useful suggestions.

1. Read a manual, look one up on the net.

2. The current issue of MBA has an article on setting up progressive shocks. (don't ask me how I know this  )

3. Take the bike and yourself to the shop you bought it from and ask them to help you set it up.

4. Install a Fox Vanilla.

5. Buy a hardtail.

most people wind the high and low speed compression right in and fiddle with the other adjustments...especially for when your riding all sorts of tracks and you cannot get to the adjustments on the dh comp without taking the shock out

if you cant manage to find a nice setting tith the high/low speed compresion just find somthing you like with the volume spv rebound and preload. do you know what high and low speed compresion does, each individual knob

i weigh about 75kg and i ride a dh comp. I have the volume setting wound right in, then backed off half a turn. The presure is at about 100-105psi and the low speed is a bit less than half way in, the high speed is about half way in. I find thats a pretty nice set up, but its all personal preferance.

When referring to someone else it's "you're" as in you are not your.
So technically you're the idiot.

i ride dh, a bit of hucking, some dirt jumping (untill i get my hardtail built anyway) and just general freeriding. I find those setting work pretty well, it gives the rear shock a bottomless feel.

in the future, use the quote button in the top RHS of each post, it saves a lot of confusion, as you have seen here today.

If you told me what spring your running I can help with the setup, I weigh 78kgs run 450 spring preloaded 1 turn, 55psi, SPV 2.75 turns in, low speed in half turn past half way and high speed in 1 turn past half.. hope it helps an if it doesn't buy a remote resivour like me an play around with it :)
