Frday 19th Sept, ANNADALE HOTEL.
Openers was some dude called gareth (something) Just him on Guitar and a Bass Player,very depressing Nick Cave cross rockerbilly stuff could have been better just playing a CD cos no-one payed this guy any attention.
Onto FORT and for some reason or other the second Guitarist wasn't there
so we only got 80% of this band from Byron Bay.
they turned that 80% into a full tilt Boogie,totally assalting the Audience
with their infectious groove rock.
I think Brant would have been scared to follow this Band if all members had graced the stage.
Barnt Bjork and the bros hit the stage at about 10 to 11 and slowlly built on a hook into a massive rolling power groove.Not knowing much of his solo material,he still managed to rock the stage and work the crowd for just under 2 hours .
With frenzied crys for KYUSS song he finally bled into GREEN MACHINE
after about six songs and boy was there some KYUSS fans present.The track My getto Blaster got a good going and we heard snippets of 15 minute indulgence towards the end of the show.
I thought the Bass Player showed quite some dissrespect for the Audience
as he had his back to us the whole show.
After 2 Oncours the show was Over and the Mighty BOB SLEDGE finished the night out in the front bar.Like a mini Stoner rock festival
Bring on UNIDA , HERMANO,GOATSNAKE or CLUTCH.
