The race is going held to be on both Saturday (30th) and Sunday (31st).
Saturday will bw registration and practice. You must register and have a number on your bike before you are allowed onto the track. Any rider on the track without a number will be DQ and not allowed to race on Sunday.

Shuttle buses will run both days and first aid will be in attendance for both days.

50 bucks to enter plus a 10 dollar day licence if you are not a MTBA member. MTBA and GMBC memberships will be available on the day. A senior membership is $90 and a junior membership is $75. This covers you for all MTBA sanctioned races for 12 months. If you take out a MTBA/GMBC membership you will not need to purchase a day licence.

As for the beer, we will see what we can do.

Also if anyone is not riding and whats to help out on thw weekend send me an email.

A flyer has been produced and should be out there pretty soon. Keep checking the website for updates and info or you can email me at s3049933@student.rmit.edu.au

I'm only 17 tho so I'm not sure if I'm legally able to help out around the track?? Let me know.

Can confirm that the following - Banshee, Pushi, Hendry Cycles, Endo Imports, Freak Industries and Michelin will all be supporting the downhill event at the you yangs and supplying goodies for winners and those worthy.

Also supporting the event is Parks VICTORIA, MTBA, Adams Printers, Swear Words and Local Mix Concrete.

Still working on the beer but hoping to confirm in the next couple of days.

I was out there today and it was SO dusty. Heaps of riders carving the berms and braking has made the surface sand-like. Its only bad before the left hand turn after the double drop.

The berms were alright, just before them. And after the rock hip its pretty loose. Maybe its because half the time I was riding a friends XC bike with semi slicks while he rode mine.

it has always been loose down the bottom after the hip :(

but yeah semi slicks wouldn't grip like slow reezay minons ;) :)

im there for sure, this will be a huge turnout, maybe too big, now everyone kkows where it is, hopefully we can have an official working bee just to touch up any parts that need doing prior to race day, if anyone knows how to slip that by a person in charge or park ranger that would be awsome, otherwise we shuld set up a watering hole to see whos heading and to see whos brinnging beer, or a beer making coffe machine in your case ajay, dam drunk dam

I was out there yesterday and some GMBC people turned up with the ranger, they walked up the course stopping to discuss different lines being built.
