Well, we've all seen the link in bulk (and if you haven't go here - http://www.pinkbike.com/modules/news/?op=articleview&id=2220 ).
The frame price sounds very enticing, as does the design of the rear end. Angles and lengths are conventional, and as usual at Evil theres a super bullshit material (ok, I bet its not bullshit, but everything they make seems to have some new, fantastic material as a key part) included in the design - in this case "superalloy" headtube, dropouts and chainstay yoke...
My personal assessment is that I'd like to see a frame weight, and it reminds me of an old Grove Innovations Woods Bike, what with the seat tube projection and brace (but without the crazy 16" BB height!).
Also, the reynolds tubeset is a step up from the average no-name cromo most DJ/street/4X bikes are made out of.
Yet another hardtail I'd like to have...

Goddamn, posted at exactly the same time as Stinky|Dan's thread (to the minute!) in DJ/4X/Urban/Trials.
Mods, feel free to delete the thread if you think Dan's one is enough!

The Imperial really did nothing much for me at all, but this thing is much more up my alley! All I hope for is a nice light weight, and I'll be all over one (if I can get a hold of the damn thing).
All I can say is...

Why couldn't this have come along a month ago? It would've fit every requirement I had for a hardtail project I had planned. Oh well, might still have to save some pennies and see what Santa can bring for Christmas. $5 says Norco.au won't bring them in though
I bet Carlin has passed out in a puddle of his own bodily fluids after seeing that chainstay length... 15.75" with a 2.3" tyre is damn impressive!
Edit: It's missing one thing... cantilever mounts! Goddamn, street = V brakes, how could they omit such a thing?

Yep the chainstays are the same as the Sovereign's.
The price is the biggest surprise about this one, (the concept of the DOC being in the frames section on the Evil site for quite a while). I wonder if it has something to do with Donahue's aim to get more kids into riding as opposed drugs, (ie Drug Of Choice), thus making it more accessible?
Anyway, $450US is very impressive for the frame. It is cheaper than the Norco street 853 frame, and there is a hell of alot more going for it.\
It matches everything I want in a frame except for the v-brake mounts eh Rik.
I really want one of these frames. :D
*Edit* Just figured it out: it's Reynolds, but it's not 853 right? that's why it's cheaper than the Sovereign.
