I don't know if anyone remembers but I asked everyone to help me with a uni assignment by filling out a simple open survey about bike pumps. Anyway, I picked a concept, just though I'd post it up since I had the pic on the computer.
Yes it's only a sketch, and the photo is pretty crook too; but thanks to everyone that helped the first time around.

Nice work wombat.
What course are you doing? (you probably said it when you put out the survey but I can't remember...)
looks good anyway.

Thanks all, but I can't see it making it into production unless there's a company out there that wants to use the design for a small royalty fee...

Actually, I don't think I did say, anyway: I'm doing a bachelor of Industrial Design Engineering. Basically, it's a slightly slimmed back industrial design degree with all the core engineering subjects in there. It's not a bad course, but really, 5 years is pretty long. I may consider staying on for another year to see if I can wrap up an engineering degree as well.

its probably too late but a little button directly behind where the valve goes in (i would of done this anyway) should of put a presure release buton and get the gaugue reading, its probly too late but i didn't see your other thread.
in other matters thats a bloody awsome pump and i reacon you should put it onto the market but dont make it too bloody expensive!!

Possibly although I have never heard it mentioned, and from memory, many of the examples I've seen use lower case. Unfortunately our tutor and lecturer seem to have a distinct personality clash, and seem as though they'd be unable to organise a pissup at a brewery. Getting a straight answer about anything it nigh on impossible.
PsychoDH: the release button is a good idea, I wish I'd thought of that.

Well a designer i knew was absolutly pedantic about it. So much so he perminently wrote in caps. Smart guy. I think he lives in hongkong now? He invented a perspective drawing board... qite cool. Easy drawings for gimps like me.
