Hey

I've seen quite a number of different shuttle trailers at races lately. I've seen some very cool designs.

But one thing still remains: not all bikes like all trailers.

The old "pedal in the metal thing-o" style of trailer has always been a classic, but it has been good at causing damage to more than just cranks.

The new ones that I have seen have been much better - depending on your bike. I've seen two different sorts of frames get eaten by trailers of late.

So.... what is the best trailer design? What's the worst?

i know it broke, but the one at lithgow with the A frame in the middle, where the bike rolls back into the fork thing and old tube goes over the seat post. this is good for races, needs huge mudguard on front tho to protect from puddle splashes. bikes got soaked in mud after hosing off for shuttle at lithgow, not funny stuff, especially for the poor retard (myself) with a v brake.
for road trips u want something lockable and weather proof.

ill post pics of mine when its done

Yeah I though the A-frame trailer at Lithgow was great, that was until it destroyed my bike! It wore a 3mm deep groove into my frame.

really that sucks!
was ur bike on it when it broke or wasn't the padding on right?
the ideas there tho right?
my shuttle trailer has that idea.
