Who has been to Morzine

Just googling away.
I have access to a VW camper van and was going to travel from Germany to Morzine.
Has anyone been there? Any information would be appreciated.
I would just like to park the van and go do some runs for a few days 8)
June/July next year by the way.

yea mate i have been there. if your goin to morzine then you might as well check out les gets as well. morzine is about 5 kms down the road from les gets (where the world champs were this year).
morzine has a couple of tracks but two main ones. one on each side of the valley. the main one being the ex world cup track. the track is long with some sweet sections.
its a pity you've only got a day because the riding around that whole area is sensational.
les gets has tracks on both sides of the valley. however the longer one takes a long time because you have to change chairs half way up so if you've only got one day it might not be worth it. but mate where ever you go will blow your mind. australia has nothing compared to it.

Pleney to the left, Super Morzine at the back of town.

Super Morzine is only good for going over to the swiss courses etc, theres no official trail back into town. IMO, do the Pleney a few times, then go back up, drop down the left of the pleney course about 200m into it. Go up the rd, up a hill and down slightly to a left turn, on the right is a track, thats the Tennis court run. Do tennis court. Then up the rd to Les Gets and get the Red Bubble car, at the top go left down the rd, and left again in the second layby, thats the Canyon run..a minter, very Canadian.
Then repeat as you want.

Bob, I may be there for up to a week at this stage.
I was also wondering what other facilities are in the area? Can I just rock up unbooked with my VW and Bike and go do runs and camp somewhere?
