Just wondering if anyone knows about or has ridden the new section of track at Kinglake? I was there yesterday and it doesn't look like it's been ridden for a while, as there are a lot of sticks an leaves over the track.
Start riding it!
From the carpark, look up the hill, and walk into the trees on your right and you'll find the track.

i did a few runs up there yesterday afternoon and thought that the new top section was pretty cool...i don't think it's covered in sticks and stuff cause it hasn't been ridden, but cause it's still new...especially at the very start of it, you're basically just riding through crap and top soil instead of an actual worn in track, and so i had a bit of trouble keeping any decent speed through it and so wasn't game to try some of those bigger jumps just yet (ie the doubles where the track splits in two)...but it should be wicked once it gets ridden a bit more so that speed can be kept through it all.

That new section has actually been around since Christmas last year.
We cleared the sticks and crap off it about a month ago. But it needs some more riders on it to make it quicker.
Those doubles are doable at the moment, but you don't want to come up short on that big one!

i hadn't realised that it had been there so long, wish i'd known bout it sooner ! but i agree, having more people ride it will make it quicker as the track gets packed down, it just seems like it hasn't been ridden enough just yet. i just had trouble carrying speed into those doubles yesterday cause the bit just before them is a little weird, but i'll have to have a crack at them next time i'm up there for sure.
