I'm looking for a new F/R D/H bike for around $3800 my options so far are the specialized big hit the giant downhill comp or a kona stinky i ride mostly downhills but i love stair gaps and i do a bit of dirt jumping i weigh about 75 kilos and i ride hard at all i have been known to 360 a mountain bike so any help would be much appreciated :D
the giant will be best for DH... as for jumping - they are all slugs (compared to hardtail/jump/street or whatever)

yeah i agree that the giant will be the best for DH
for Dj ing and other stuff u want to do on it
maybe buy like a stinky deelux or even a norco VPS
they are all made mostly for DH ing but the stinky is the most Freeride setup out of the lot u like
there are heaps of good DH rigs on farkin right now
why not just go for a full DH rig and keep the HT for street and freeriding

You could look at getting a Kona coilor - like the dee-lux or the primo as it is a hard core bike for doing dh, freeride some jumping etc. But it looks to be a bit piss weak, as in like the cranks and shit.
You could get a stinky which would set u back like 3000, then use the other 800 to get a single crown fork that you could swap back and forth to use for dh and jumping.
Or you could get a stinky for 3000 and then get like a cheap specialized P.1 or something that will set you back for like around $1000.
Or you could buy my dh bike off me for $2500, and spend 1300 on a ht.
