I have an Ashton something-or-other.

I stopped playing about a year ago because it bored me.

I just got it out for the first time in about 9 months this afternoon, I'm gonna learn classical gas  It shouldn't take too long . . .

I use a 1973 Gibson SG or a Jackson Rhoads played through a JCM900 on top of a Sovtek 4x12. I don't think the neighbours like it much.

That song was pretty much the sole reason that I started messing around on the guitar; never wanted lessons or anything, I just wanted to learn how to play that piece. Sometime soon I'll pull the tab back out and teach myself the second half; it is so beautiful, sounds heaps better on nylons than steel though (well der :P )

Shamelss plug: guys, have a look at THIS (http://reynolds-valveart.com.au) too :D.

hey wombat, bit of a noob when it comes to guitars but hey i dont play them , do your amps use tubes? like the things which sound awsome and take a lil while to warm up and you have to replace like after 500hrs or somthen? I heard this real sweet marshal drool so delish.

Yeap, all valve, all point to point hand-wired; no transistors, no PCBs (printed circuit baords). As for the life span of the valves, I'll have to check but I think it's more than 500 hours. Check the link on the site, I think the sound clips are still up so you shoud be able to have a listen to what they sound like (beware, they are compressed and all that jazz).

I play bass... Not long ago started, but I am getting half OK at it :P

I run a Spector Bass NS2000, with an Orange 35wt practice amp, not a bad setup, it can pump out some noise. I am planing to get a new amp sometime soon as I'm not a fan of the current one.

Looking at a Hartke Kickback15 combo, or a Hartke (2.5?)XL Cabinet (200w) and a head unit (undecided).

I also have a Yamaha acoustic guitar that must be about 25 years old, I occasionally play around on that :)

Red Ibanez RGsomethinorothernumber through a Boss Metal Zone into a 65W Peavey. Nothing wrong with solid state if you not looking for warmth in your sound.

Acoustic - Fender DG-14STF (~$500)
Electric - Ibanez made in Japan in the 70's - isn't any particular model
Amp - Marshall AVT50 ($1200 RRP, got it for $600)

might post up a pic of my electric later to see if anyone knows what it is...
