Ok so ive had my camera for ages and i charge it when it needs charging etc....
The "Lithium -ion" battery as it states now refuses to last over 30minutes, which is down from 90 minutes like 3 months ago....
Is there anyways you can prolong the "life-span" of the battery, or am i gonna have to fork out some cash.....?
Any help would be much appreciated.....
Time to fork out... I have to do the same soon, it's crap, but has to be done. I did get decent use out of the battery though.
Talk to your local camera place, ask about generic batteries, they sell for up to half the price of the brand name stuff, and pretty much do the same thing.

That's pretty much it. I would reccomend spending the extra and getting the larger batteries too. Worth the money.
You might, MAYBE, be able to bang it in the freezer for a couple of days and this may remove the "memory" in the battery and allow you to get more charge (this works for some NIMh batteries), but I think it is new battery time

same problem here, dissapointaly once it happens it is not realy reversible (from what i know), but you can prolong the time before your battery 'dies', by only changring when it is empty..

Yep, li pol batteries dont like being charged from half full, and if they're overcharged the chemical in them evaporates and you lose storage capacity.
Freezer could work, you may as well give it a try
