Hmmm that's interesting. Looks like a lawill-like rear end but with completely different pivot locations. Add a floating brake caliper to make it schweet....

Chunky!

EDIT: Check out their homepage http://www.astrixsports.com/havoc.htm

I sent the Taiwanese frame manufacturer that makes them an E-mail months ago but never got a reply. Either no English speaker was there that day or they aren't interested. I didn't E-mail the company that has their name on it , it was the manufacturers I sent it to. Normally they will sell them to anyone but maybe things have changed. I too like the design but I think they look heavy so I decided to not bother importing them. Anyway I love my Balfa to much and didn't want to have to ride something else instead because I was selling them.

Rather interesting, I've seen a bigger, better pic of the rear end, and there's a bit going on back there. Looks like it has potential (but, what does that say  ) but I too question the weight of them.

Gotta love that. So you have a four bar linkage, nice (claimed to make the bike pedal better than everything else or whatever, as is the normal). Let's chuck another two links in to move the shock (Astrix claims this is not even to adjust the shock rate, but to prevent lateral loading of the shock - ABOUT the shock bolt axes! Basic physics: shock is a 2 force member, there can be no such thing!). Alrighty, so we're up to six bars. Let's just chuck a floating brake on for good measure (ignoring the fact that the rear member rotates about a whole degree, ie F all brake interaction) and we're set for one lightweight, high-performance bike. Woot.

Not a fan...

How low is this bloke? Mike Wilson did ride for Astrix, yes. He is also a mormon (but thats not specifically the reason for being low).

He is sponsored by Astrix, BUT he goes off on his fucken mission, and does not even tell Astrix that he is not riding for two years. What a shithead - could not even do the right thing by his sponsors to tell them when he's pissing off to annoy everyone he can corner and bullshit to them about mormonism.

Not someone I would particularly count on. All this comes from an interview with him in Flow magazine.

i have read independent reviews on the havoc and they weigh in at 40lbs with boxxers, shimano, truvativ etc,
I also heard through the grape vine that they will be distributed in australia in the not too distant future.
All i know is they are meant to corner better than a V10 but you can actually jump the bike.
As soon as they get here im signing up!!
