Does anybody know of any bike racks that bolt onto a normal towbar that can carry two DH bikes?

Youll need to take a cab from the curb to your car!

yeah I was gonna get something similar then realised that the bike rack might hit the ground travelling up the dirt roads to the downhill races.. Depends how low your car is I guess.
I ended up getting the
Thule - HangOn (http://www.thule.com/templates/THULE_ProductPage.asp?id=57012)
Holds up to 45KG. So I guess roughly two D/H bikes.
I paid $175 for it.

Look at it this way, if that racks going to hit the ground on the way up a hill, id be saying bye bye to my muffler too. It sits above the towball which happens to be above the line of your rear bumper. This carries no rating as such...but then, weve had 140kg of person sitting on it without a problem, your towballs gonna fall off before it breaks(which can happen, so make sure you have a good hitch on your car).

Hi guys, i have a rack very similar to that in shmity's pic, and it seems to work very well. It is a lot easier as we all know how much of a pain in the arse it is to try and load a dh bike that doesn't have a straight top tube on and off a normal rack all the time. Just remember to make your number plate visible on the outside of the rack, i got picked up for not having a visible number plate about a month ago.

Yeah, nice rack....
If I wasn't so generous to be offering a lift to all and sundry, I'd have gotten one of those instead of building 'The Nox Shuttle'. Looks nice and sturdy.

Not recomended on a big, heavy DH rig. They really are pretty light weight and designed to transport GIRLS frames.

With that you might actually end up with the wheels being pretty low, and scraping on the ground... i've seen it on one of the old classic 'bike beak' styles.

i think you mean girls...

im making a bar for the back of my ute to fit dj 2s it will just be a bar the same size as the axle across me trey so you put the fork on and tighten the bottom locking hinges at the bottom of the forks but it will also have another use to keep the back end of my go kart up when travelling :D
I'm sure people will be interested in seeing that once it's done too...Does anybody know of any bike racks that bolt onto a normal towbar that can carry two DH bikes?
