what bike guys?

the specialized has a 24" wheels... i don't know much about bikes... is this a disadvantage???

You'll be a tad bit slower on the up hills, but thats about it. All are good bikes. I'd go the atomic because of value, or the bighit for reliability.

You'll be a tad bit slower on the up hills, but thats about it. All are good bikes. I'd go the atomic because of value, or the bighit for reliability.
ANYWAY, 24" is better for acceleeration, and sprinting off the line and stuff. 26" is better for long distance because its more efficient. 26 also holds better through potholes cause they are bigger.
not sure, but arent 24" a bit stronger compared? not sure about this though

Yeah the 05 Atomic has had a complete over hall (frame) since last year and looks to be quite a killer...then again...so do the stinky's and bighits!

the atomic is sick i have 1 on its way already the prob with the bighit is not many tyres for 24 inches and ive gotten my atomik for $2400 :D

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's harder to keep up with a bike with bigger wheels then yourself. eg. a road bike(forget about weight etc..) those bigger wheels are much faster then the 26" wheels let alone a 24". Another example...those pennyfathing bikes aren't too slow either... :?:

The 24" is a stronger wheel, this is its main advantage, besides less rotating weight

i have a very simular prob. the norco looks the goods, but ive heard nothing but good things about the switch. how much do they go for?
