03 Bighits experts or 04 comps

anyone got one of these bikes? and if so what do you use it for? ive tried the 03 bighit expert awesome bike but that was just round the street. anyone used one of these on MT buller and how they felt the bike handled it. next question how much would they sell for secondhand??? specially either with a single crown fork.

Ive got an 04 expert, i use it mainly for downhill and a bit of freeride. I think it is a good bike for this ( but I'm no pro, racing in sport)

Ive ridden and raced at ourimbah, lithgo, killingworth and awaba. Which it handled fine

as for second hand prices, id have a look in the for sale section, there are always a few in there

ok there was one in the for sale section. for 2500 and thats the bighit expert. the RRP of the 04 comp was about 3700? so about half that 1850-2000 for a secondhand one of them.

the 04 comp is a great bike to through around and it will take anything u give it

Go the comp. I've had mine 4 a year now and its still goin strong. raced sunshine series on it and have done sum serious drops upwards of 10foot.
Solid parts spec but the forks aren't crash hot and watch the front break.

ive had a dh comp frame with custom build for about a year and a half now and its a very nice frame. I use it for dh, hucking, and I did use it for jumping before i got my ht going. The part spec on the complete bikes is pretty decent for the price and the frames are excellent.

Hey guys i am also looking at whether to buy a big hit or not.At the moment i am tossing up between a 2005 bighit FSR or a 2005 Kona stinky. Which bike do u think would be a better buy considering that i want to do freeriding, a few DH races and some streetriding on it???
