sorry to be negative but putting an 8" rotor on any quick release fork is dangerous and poses a fair chance of snapping your dropouts clean off, then you say they're exr's, in my opinion dont do it. Its a recipe for disaster. The 8" rotor is too powerful and you probably wont need the extra braking power on an stp anyhoo.

ive had quick release skewers undo form 8" rotors IMO its just not worth it and to anyone that tells me it wasnt done up tight enough ive got a quick release here that i snapped doing it up too tightly, i do mine up that tightly normally.....

I ran an eight inch rotor on my EXR's for two years without a problem whatsoever. I think this no putting 8 inch disks on QR forks is just like the no triple clamps on hardtails argument. I think, so long as its not in void of your warranty its fine. So, I can't offer you the 8 inch disk, but I can offer you the 8 inch shimano deore disk adaptor. I'll pm you.

I have also run an 8" rotor on a QR fork before and never had a problem.

I might be wrong, but i was told there is no such thing as a QR fork that is warrantied for an 8" rotor, just a thought, people mightn't have had problems with em, but if your dropouts do snap off you'll have a problem, and it might turn out to be more than a lack of brake power, maybe the lack of front teeth etc.

I run a 8 inch rotor on my bike and its heaps bettter never had any problems i run QR on a junior t triple clamps. there so much better. the companys only say that so you cant sue them because they didnt tell you not to. sorta like the lady who stuck a dog in the microwave to dry it because it didnt state you couldnt put dogs in it then she sued the company

Dude, you can get an Imperial 8" adaptor and rotor from DHDIRECT that will fit EXR's for around $60, check out DHD's site -

www.dhdirect.com.au

I run one on my DJIII's with a QR and have had no dramas, have only had it for a few weeks thou. Have fun!
