fabio & grooverider play some pritty sweet d'n'b not sure weather it would fit in the 2step d'n'b catagory tho.i got this mix free with mixmag and it's sweet

wiley had a song out last year called "what chu call it" and there was a line in it that went ' what chu call it, 2step. what chu call it, 2STEP'

i don't no how the last bit helps but it's a heaps cool song either way to look at it.but wiley is more like dizzel rascal then straight out deebee stuff.

Have you heard Aphex Twin's version of the pokemon theme? It's awesome.

Aphex twin is kinda regarded as acid, but on the verge of dnb, and jungle sometimes. Have you got drukqs naz? its an awesome CD, if you like aphex, its the one to get.
Squarepusher is mad too, you should get some of his earlier stuff, like big loada, and hard normal daddy.
Wiley and Dizzee Rascal are very hard to define, they use some garage beats, but garage is stuff more like the streets etc. In that song, wiley says how he 'doesn't care about garage,' and he 'makes his own sound' which he calls, the eskimo sound, or eski beat. Dizzee uses hardcore kits, but 2step rhythms etc. on his new album he leans more towards garage than hardcore and 2step, with not as much emphasis on da phat beeeeetz.
Ok, heres a bit of a list of artists if you like this sort of music:

Aphrodite, Venetian snares, Mr Projectile, Hellfish, Unkle, grooverider (awexome), dillinja, autechre, polygon window, telefon tel aviv, boards of canada, mum, explosions in the sky.

and for the hip hop/garage/cool side of things:

Anti pop consortium, beans, blackalicious, lyrics born, jurassic 5, goldie chain (OMGZOR GOLDIE CHAIN SOOO GOOD!!1!!1!!), ozomatli, jedi mind tricks.

yeah i no that dizzie and wiley arin't really deebee. but i just mentioned them cause of the 'what chu call it' song that mentioned 2step in it.

i so hope that dizzie rascal comes back to oz next year.the nextmen are kinda good as well sort of a breaks dnb cross over blend type thing or something like that.

I've also seen Aphex Twin labelled as Trip Hop.

All depends which song, I guess... AT can do all sorts, noise, ambient, triphob, DnB/Jungle, hardcore... etc... forget genres, I just like to call it "fucked up electronic" ;)

dont worry about labeling the music you listen to naz, it doesnt make the music better or worse - its still just what it is...

But yeah, i wouldnt label aphex twin as d&b, its more like twisted electro funk bop reggae swing core rockabilly hip disco trance... ya know wot i mean...

Square pusher are really cool tho, not d&b either but very, very cool indeed
I had the album 'go plastic' (ithink that's what its called) and it was off tap, heaps of shit happening all over the joint, needed a few listens to get into but worth it! keep diggin around for that good shit naz, not enough people try hard enough to find it!

i havent listened to aphex twin in about 2 years but when i was the album my friend had on non stop was some real awesome shit i got so stuck into it was awesome i would love to get a copy of whatever album it was, it was just nuts.

he also had a square pusher album around the same time 2-3 years ago and that was just so all over the joint it did my head in and i couldnt really get into it, but as i said this was a while ago and it may bit more easier now. Saying that i really dug the aphex twin stuff, one song had this real trippy voice sayin " naughty little boy naughty little boy" that was hilarious.

anyway anyone know the name of that aphex twin album i think the cover was white with his face on it.
