Tricky question, but I'm sure plenty of you have faced this problem. I want to break up with my girl friend, simply because I'm not ready and also because she is too demanding...all my free time is dedicated to her...which means less riding!...well...you know what I mean.
Anyway, I know its best to be honest and tell her its me and not her, but I just got a message not long ago asking why I haven't spoken to her for the past 5 days. Reason is because I have been thinking when/how/what to say.
Should I reply to her sms saying that it's over?...seems kinda stupid that way, but easy. Wouldn't have to put up with her crying or doing it in a public place.
Or shoud I wait and plan to meet her somewhere, chances are that she will pass by work tonight to see me.
According to Seinfeld, anymore than 3 dates constitutes a face-to-face break-up, & TV doesn't lie.

At least have the spine to tell her to her face. Tell her the truth, if she is too demanding say so so she can learn from her mistakes. Don't be mean about it either.

Dude, break ups always suck and they are never ever easy, but if you don't want to be with her anymore be a man about it, tell her to her face, move on and go riding more if thats what you want.

The easiest way out is to fake your own death or have someone kill her.
Seriously, breaking up via SMS is for 12 year olds. Sit her down and tell her politely. Be nice - she does deserve that. Don't be mean unless she starts screaming at you, then you know you won't get a reference so it doesn't really matter.
PS. Give her back the photos. You know what I mean. But post them on the Net and link us to them first.

I disagree. Who needs a girl when you have a bike.
1. You can ride it whenever you want
2. It nevers get jelous if you admire another bike
3. You can pay as much or little attention to it as you want and it never complains
4. If something goes wrong it's as easy to fix, just drop it of at the local shop and let some other dude fix her up for ya for $5
The only problem i find is it's a bit akward to put in my bed and it gets grease everywhere :D

If youre adamant about it (and it sounds like you are) then its best to do it asap. You're only human (ok i'm making assumptions) and if you dont wanna you don't wanna. Its an awful thing to have to do but it it's the only responsible thing to do.
Its seems very difficult but once you have said it you will look back and realise it was not as hard as you thought. In the end she'll thank you for your honesty ... after lobbing a vase and the dvd player.

Yeh, i know. I told the slob to lose some weight but then she kept breaking on me, so i thought it a little better for her to be happy. It's ok if the pounds are in the right place you know :)

Well just a suggestion but have you considered putting it off temporarily...you say you dont have enough time at this point in time....but do you still love her?
If yes is the case then maybe try explaining it and stop the relationship till you have the time and more devotion. Well this is what my friend did....seemed to work pretty gd.....and yes the girl still likes him and he still wants to be together with her in the future.

i really don't see the problem here, i think if your girlfriend takes up too much time then you shoud get another one!
then girlfriend 1 and girlfriend 2 can hang out together when your riding.
they can shop together, sleep together, you can film it, sell it on the net, take two girls the the formal, basically you become a pimp, have more time to ride, give one to your mates when they are down, u get the idea......
Anyways if not, just meet up with her, no sms, no email, just see her. tell her why you liked her in the first place and why you wanted to go out, and now tell her why you don't want to and why you want to break up with her, and then tell her what sort of girlfriend you are looking for, maybe she knows someone???

Best way to do it is like a man and tell her the truth about how you feel about the relationship. None of this gutless sms or msn bullshit. Where are the bollocks on some of you people, oh i forgot you aint got any. They're in your gut and they're called ovaries.
Telling her the truth face to face may be hard but you are supposed to be a guy, aren't you? If she is a good person she will appreciate that you told her the truth, if not, well she wasn't worth it in the first place.
I broke up with my ex of 4 years and it was a break up that went on for months. But telling her the truth, as complicated as it was, was the right thing to do.
Just out of curiosity, how old are you? How long have you been with this girl?
and like has been said, Is devotion and time the real issue?
Just say "I'm sorry honey, but I f**ked your sister last week. I figure we have two options......how do you feel about incestuous bigamy?"
Chances are you won't have to break up with her after that.

I told her I'd write to her or somehting down the track, she acknoledged me and I think she will appreciate it, maybe we might catch up a while later and just be mates. I dunno.
Kinda now just reflecting back on the past 8months, it hurts, but I guess I'll get over it within a few days...just gonna catch up with all my old mates now...haven't seen them for a while. Family is supportive etc.

Ha! A few days. If the relationship was anything serious it will take longer then that buddy. But be strong, and go riding your bike heaps otherwise it was all a big mistake :)

yeah and when its get loose you can always tighten her back up
the only protection you need is a helmet
you can have as many bike mags as you want and your bike wont get jealous
