Hey im putting a movie together and half the footage ive got has been transferred to quicktime, and i dont know how to put it into windows movie maker cos it wont let me, i dont want to use another movie creator cos im happy with this program as it is very to use, so if anyone could inform me how to change a quicktimes format into a windows media format i would be very happy, oh and ive already gone to the files "properties" and changed it so it opens in windows but it still dont work :( :( :(
Id be very happy if someone could help me with this one aswell, ive got footage ( quicktime ) of me doing some tricks that i really want to be thrown into the movie but the problem is the person filming it turned the camera 90 degrees so u have to turn ur neck to see it, is there anyway i can change it to normal view ?
if anyone can help me can they either add to this thread, preferably not PM me cos this old farkin backbone is weird, and if u wanna help me on msn im always on so add me stay_rude_@hotmail.com
cheers Farkians

How did "half" of it become quicktime footage (assuming you're referring to .mov file format)? Ah well. You'll need to get a program if you want to convert the .mov file to a .mpeg file. Personally I stay away from windows movie maker- stick to a higher end program, ala Adobe Premiere Pro, and it will take any format you can throw at the sucker.
But anyway, go to www.download.com (http://www.download.com) and search for a program than converts video file formats. Just changing the extenstion on the filename won't make the file magically convert to that format...
I still reckon Adobe Premiere Pro owns.
second you on promiere, but the standard premiere wont actually take the quicktime format... which was a pain.

Im not sure if ul be able to convert them. They are kinda opposing formats, quicktime the mac preffered and wmv the windows preffered. Mabey you can convert wmv to mpg? Ive never been able to convert wmvs to anything else so im not sure. Mabey you should try and find a diff program, or go record the footage again?

Try TMPGEnc which is FREE & available at http://www.tmpgenc.net/e_main.html You will need QTReader.vfp which is available at http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/4942/svcd.html. (http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/4942/svcd.html.) I found this info at http://www.vcdhelp.com/tmpgenc.htm (http://www.vcdhelp.com/tmpgenc.htm) (VCDHelp is a very good site).
Convert heaps of different formats with it.. You will need to covert MOV to Mpeg or AVi.

1) stop being so damn demanding of people who have no obligation to help you.
2) wake up and realise that sometimes you have to pay for products!
3) do a little research, if you're not able to find where to get the programs from, I'm betting you won't be able to use them.
Maybe if you'd been a little more polite, this would have been nicer to, but we're done here.
