I have noticed many measurements on this site use pounds and inches instead of the ones we would (sometimes) prefer...

So here is a quick method to convert those nasty pounds and inches into the real stuff.

1. Go to google.com

2. Enter something like the following examples:

3.3ft in cm
10.9lb in kg
12in in mm

... and then click the search button.

Yay. There you have it. Simple conversions thanks to Google.

The google calculator is great, I always use it for my simple conversions. But, at the same time, it's much easier to estimate things in imperial, and we can blame America for the usage of such units in all bike-orientated measurements.

this has been raised before and we came to the conclusion that you should use whatever you find easiest to estimate in. not to mention that most of the measurements used in the mtb industry are imperial, i dont know about you but i ride a 26 inch bike.

if you have a problem with imperial measurements maybe you should use google to change them for your personal satisfaction.

not to mention the fact that i would have to move my mouse about 2 1/3" to the google toolbar.
