Yeah come on down, not much in the shop at the moment but you can always order stuff if required. We have all the catalogues from the major distributors.

YEH that was me (i cant believe you rememer???), i broke three of the 2003 manitou six comp 80mm travel forks, all in the same place and after less than harsh riding, then to top it off, my mate broke his forks excatly the same as me, 3 TIMES. so between us we broke six manitous in about 2 monthsriding (it took about a month to get the fork fixed in between breaks).

i might see abuot gettin some shimano or (sram) mechs so i have a spare. if i can afford it maybe a stronger rim....ohhh so much to buy, so little $$$$ to spend.

Just found this forum, I'm in WA (Scarborough). Just picked up a 2nd hand hardtail (Norco Manik) and tryin to find some good DH runs. I'm prolly what you call a veteran (ie old dude) who used to race BMX some years ago. But damn its good to ride a bike again, the manik is a bit of a brick to jump but I feel like a kid again rippin down a run at the Goatfarm. Oh and that 20ft drop is wicked as.

Might see some of you guys out, I'll be checking out a few other well known spots over the coming weeks Mundaring, Welli Mills etc

freeriding/trialI'm getting into Trials, I've got a Bionic B1, & just working on some of the basics in my back garden for the moment. Try www.observedtrials.net, there's a couple of Perth riders on there. I think they ride at Southlands every now & then.

PS. I'd brush up on spelling & grammar or you won't last too long on Farkin. The mods are a bit touchy about it around here.

Hey guys, it's nice to see the Perth scene building, but to be honest where you are from isn’t such a big deal since we all ride the same areas anyways. So instead how about just a little more info like the tracks you ride, what disciplines you ride and maybe what bikes you’re on. Don’t mean to sound rude at all, just thought it would save us all some time later. Thanks

HAHA, but i am not sure if i can go now because i cant find any accomodation in or around Nannup so that sucks:(

If you don't mind camping try the Cavaran park here in Nannup (phone the Tourist Beaureau for bookings), there are two, the main one is nicer, the other is run by the same people and has a couple of permanents in it but also serves as overflow, unless of course it's all booked out already?

Otherwise there are some campings spots about 15k's out at Burrubup Pool (and Workers Pool), free as far as I know (not sure if you have to book through Parks & Wildlife or someone like that though).

I don't think open fires are allowed till the end of the month so could be cold!

Otherwise try the B&B's I suppose.

Last resort would be camping wherever and paying for a shower at the caravan park I suppose. I've got plenty of space to pitch a tent but we're 15k's in the wrong direction from Nannup (ie towards Pemberton), and well we're only using a pit toilet and camp shower set up ourselves.

G-day mate, welcome to the crew. Your right, I have no idea where that is :p.

I make it down to the BMX track when I cant get out to any good tracks, give my fit about of a workout, even if it is a street bike still goes well, enjoy getting my hardtail out for it every now and then, but 150mm forks are not suited for it haha.

Howzit, Iv been in perth for about 6 months, moved over from NZ. Only brought a P2 with Z1's on it over with me due to weight bs and had to part with my dh rig. Looking at building up a V10 now tho. Looking for some oldish buggers like myself to ride with/cause havoc. Goatfarm is the only place Iv found so far so any help would be mint. Haven't sorted a 4x4 yet cause the bike comes first so anything in riding distance from a train would be sweet. ooking for 4x tracks etc to....

Gday guys.
I'm Rex, 17 years old and work at Fleet Cycles Mandurah to pay for my cycling fetish.
I ride an Ironhorse Mk3 4X, an NS Streetlegal and a Colony Endeavour.
I'm racing the state 4X series in U19's, and race at the Mandurah BMX track every Saturday.
I've started racing downhill this year in sport class and so far I'm loving it.
I also love trail riding, Jarrahdale is my current haunt but I am always on the lookout for new spots and riding buddies.
Additionally I spend plenty of time riding park (Mandurah and Rockingham mainly) and street on little wheels.
Give me a shout if your keen to do MTB gates at Mandurah BMX track, need a lift to a race or know of any good trailriding spots...
