What's with the NWOBHM duallies coming out? People seem to have a thing for British Steel right now, it must be Halfords manly appeal
OK, bad puns aside...
Curtis (http://www.curtisbikes.co.uk/thumpercross.htm) are doing something interesting as well.
And since we're linking to other websites, there's a good discussion about the Curtis (and others) on Ridemonkey (http://www.ridemonkey.com/forums/showthread.php?t=102083)

I wuite like it. Very bare-bones, but it looks meat-axe tough. I'd buy one.

I like the look of it, though I don't know how it will stand up to much abuse but I'm sure rik will be on here quick smart telling me otherwise and how it is "real"

that got the shit beat'n out of it with an ugly stick!

might be strong, but looks weak as piss, average colour too.

If the design works, they should fire the aesthetics team and make it look half desent...

This, I do like. The seat tower has been pulled off quite nicely imho. Very raw and "real", although, as they say; "the proof is in the pudding". (see how it rides first)

rik will be on here quick smart telling me otherwise and how it is "real"Purely tongue in cheek, of course ;)
If anyone claims that "steel rides better" when it's a 9" dually needs to be kicked in the head, I'm glad that hasn't popped up in this thread (yet), but I see it all the time in relation to other bikes, and I really do question the basis of such foolish statements.

In all honesty guys, how important are the looks of the bike? Do you buy a bike for your idiot mates to look at or for you to ride? Are you riders or voyours? Please keep your eye on the important things about riding! Do you ride for yourself or do you ride to look good to someone else? Peacock or rider? That should be the real question... feel free to disagree with me, this is merely an opinion.

but if 2 bikes are very similiar in riding style, price, spec, etc. what are you gonna pick? the ugly one or the sexy one?
also, in retail (cheaper bikes), i think looks play a VERY big part in selling bikes.
