Spent the day today helping out bench in the course for the National Round race at Kooralbyn 13th of Feb and it should be a whole lot of fun strating out with a short sprint into a rock garden (with B lines) the weaving in and out of Black Boys onto a small rock drop(with Blines) then into some fast flowing single track then some rock and single track before hitting a 3ft drop onto a sloping rock shelf (with Blines) into a step down jump into a steep decent with sharp berm (with B lines) then through flowing single track with fun table top jumps to a hip finish. This track is all about who can keep the speed and the flow.
Did I say Blines this track is also completely beginner and hardtail friendly!!!!!!

To find the course go down to the tennis courts walk through the the big white start\finish arch and look up the hill. It is not the old start off the bitumen road so don't drive around!!!!!!

i have a few questions.
is the track Pedally? is it a clips track? are the black boys like the weaving in the fellcrag rock garden?

Yep clipping could be an advantage shouldn't be real pedally but the corners aren't that bad that you'll need to hang feet outlotsa blackboys at the top of the track but not to tight

Rob, I have heard the track is similar to the old one only after the big rock drop (that isnt part of the track anymore)about 2/3rds the way down where the track flattens off onto a saddle, instead of hooking aroung the left hand side of the next hill (offcamber) it goes straight over the top with a very large, uphill pedal!??? Please tell me it doesnt!

Nah Jaanos it's on a completely different hill to the old course they where thinking of doing what you said but landowners pulled the pin so a completely new track had to be built no uphill 2 slightly flat sections but with fast lead in so no dramas the boys did a couple of test runs and it was sweet just remember though course is closed to riding till the Sat. Open to walk Friday
