King of Ballarat Summer Series - Round 3 - 6th Feb 2005
King of Ballarat Summer Series Round 3 was run again in beautiful Ballarat weather. Three brand new tracks were used with jumps bigger than before. A huge 35ft step down was one of the big challenges that tested out all riders and their parents.
The times were quick and the winner of the Elite class was the series leader Jarrah Breese. He narrowly beat Sam Hocken by less than half a second. Local rider David Hetherington took out third in his first podium finish.

Dave Bowden once again won sport, with returning quickie Simon Gubbins in second. Track builder Dave Habicht pulled in third with some great clean lines.

Under 15’s was dominated by the Bendigo crew with first going to David Maud, Second Alex Wruck and third Todd Robertson.

The ladies were once again taken out by Lisa Hahnel beating home Sarah Jack and Fiona McDonnell

Hope you all enjoyed the tracks, Daves and my tracks were supposed to scare you all more than that, but 'big ups' to all those hitting the big lines (and there were plenty of you)
Pity for Miles finding the blackberries on the last 50m of the last track....a sure fire podium otherwise. Special mention to hometown boys Dave Hetherington, Rosco and Dave 'the big bitch' Bowden for their times on the day. I remember the times that I used to match it with Rosco, it seemed like just yesterday.....(bitter old man remblings, etc, etc..)......
