Canada travellers if your heading over and havent been before I have a bunch of trail maps for various areas around B.C. They are a few years old but will still be quite current. They are the official maps so well produced but perhaps a tiny bit trail weary. Map areas include Cypruss at Vancouver, Golden ( Mt Seven and cross country) local map (hand drawn) of perberton (including Cop Killer etc.), Nelson, Whistler (say no more) Rossland.
I reckon these maps are probably worth something but rather than cash I'll take a six pack of James Boags Premium so I can reminise (Can't spell) about the two, two month trips spent riding in B.C.
A comment if your heading over and you have the time DO NOT just stay in Whistler! As good as it is these other areas are mind blowing and somewhat more real. Check out the Kranked and New world movies particularly the Robbie Bourdan, Joe Swartz sections.
Two examples,
1. Burl Ives trail in Nelson the gnarlisest north shore bridges I've even seen. Narrow and high and probaly not ridable by the average aussie. Watch the locals here.
2. The "oasis trail" in Rossland has I guess 6 km's of winding single track. No jumps, no stunts, Just 6 km's of fast smooth relentless winding buffed down hill single track. Sound boring then crank up the speed a notch or two. We chased a bear down here for about 300 metres one time. It was stading on the track as we approached at mach speed. It turned and ran down the track and at the speed the bear and us were doing had a hard time finding a spot to jump off. Classic!
PM me if you are interested.
