The new giant freerider, the Mastro Faith 3, is apparently a good deal. $2500 (ish) for 8" travel and OK Spec including DC Drop-offs. The upgrade is a bit more but has Jnr. T's and general upgrades. Attached is the Spec lists for all three models.
Which one is best for me, a 100kg Non-race DHer, Back Country Hucker, Dirt Jumper, Stair Gapper?

Much Peace,

When deciding whether to get a better spec bike or the cheaper spec, think about what you would do with it in the near future.
eg. If your gonna be buying or swapping forks for the bike, then therereally is no point in getting the bike with the better fork.Andwithother specs, say....if both were shimano (eg. LX vs. XT etc)stuffand you are looking to be upgrading to SRAM, again, there isn'treallyapoint of buying the bike with the better drive train, etc etcetc.
Good luck.

if you are going to buy a top of the range bike id agree with MUGEN then switching around better parts like forks stronger cranks and so on then maybe build one from scratch or pick the one that u first liked.

Point of Interest: Wouldn't it be really ironic if a thread by Icarus, got shot down in flames.

Hmmm.

Sorry - carry on.

Wasn't Icarus the Greek guy who tried to fly to the sun, but the wax holding his wings together melted or something...?

^^
Yeh that was him the silly foo, wax and feathers just dont cut it.
He was trying to get to his dad or something wasnt he?

Also about the Giant, what kind of riding level are you at? If you are only begining you shoudl probably get the cheaper. If you are hitting bigger stuff the better bike would be the go.

Thanks for all the help but i went and bought a '04 Ruckus I-drive. Thanks.
I personally find the wax wings help landing the dirt jumps and hucks.
