I haven't had a proper ride on them as of yet, but during the typical carpark/street blast they do seem to feel pretty good.
The suspension design is essentially GT's Idrive in a different package, so I'd be pretty confident that it'll be up to the task. They're good value bikes too, the triple really stands out.

yeah i was having a look at the double and it was 3199 which is pretty good i thought...wasnt so sure about the front shocks but they seemed good..only had a quick look last night as the shop was closed when i got there (i finish work late and get home as the bike shops close which makes it hard..hopefully ill be able to shop around this weekend) cant seem to find any reviews on the new bike but i also heard its based on the GT actually i was told it was designed by the same guy which wouldnt surprise me. but there are just soo many bikes out there and they dont like letting u take them for a propper ride which sux!

Apparently the Mongoose Blackdiamond Triple is more of a race orientated frame than the old Mongoose DH. The DH is a very solid frame and will take anything yoiu throw at it but the blackdiamond triple is much lighter and faster. (As told to me by steve marsh)

Doing the old ride around and have a bounce test, I found that the bike pedaled extremely well, but it also seemed very plush when going over bumps. It was however fairly light. As I am an owner of a Mongoose (Blue DH) I was wanting to try the bike, and I was very pleased by how it felt.

yeah,
i thought that it was extremely light
just wondering what it's long term life would be
as the tubing looked very thin and not as beefy
compared to the
Mongoose DH (last years blue one)
not to meantion all the linkages needed to give
you the floating bottom bracket
but
it was very well speced for the price

cheers
