Me and some mates are thinking of comin down from brisbane for the state race, do you if there will be a practice day or just practice on the morning of the race?

the track would take a good 3 minits not 100% and the club day will be just a saturday with practice in the morning. Damn XC riders stole our timing equipment for the sunday. Should be fun.

So yes, sorry people make that a date change to the 5th March. Didnt realise.

So what are the details for the club round? Directions, practice start time and racing start time would be good.

Is it BYO transport and if so, what's the access to the top like.

We would like to support both your club race and your state round and guess other's thinking of doing likewise would appreciate the same info.

OOOOOOOK....sorry .....again..hehe....due to a fuck up in communication the CLUB day is now back to the sunday 6th March, Transport atm is unknown...we havent got any of our own trailors.....though if anyone is keen to ride the club day, is from newcastle and is organising the trailors for the state round please bring them along if its not too much trouble, it would be much appreciated. You may possibly be able to leave them at the track till the state round if you wished.
If it doesn end up BYO transport we are guna have to organise to convoy all the riders in one continuous lot because there is no room to pass, also you'll more than likely have to walk the last 300 mtrs of the hill unless we get a trailor or 2. I wouldnt be Taking you brand new SS commadore up the trail for shuttles but for the most part you can do it in a 2wd.

Ide say we'll try and start practice around 8am 'ish and start racing around 12pm depending on how many people show up.

STATE round is going to be run as your usual state round will be....with practice saturday and sunday with racing sunday arfternoon.

Directions
From Sydney:

Follow the Pacific Highway until you pass the golf course and the 1st industrial estate turn off. Throw a left into middleton street opposite the army reserve barracks and follow this road for around 18km's and you should come to a sharp right hand bend. The dirt entrance is on the outside of this bend and should be well sign posted from there on practice and race day. You have gone to far if you make it to Sherwood estate winery.

If you live further up the coast go over the traffic bridge and swing a right into middleton street just after the caltex on your right.

Hi this is Adam Evans here,

Gavin Killmore of the KMORC has asked me to answer e-mails from riders and
alike about the state round to be held in Kempsey, as he hasnt the time nor
the patience to answer so many emails. So would it be at all possible if the
email address for the KMORC could be changed from the current to this
address here. Kempsey_hucker@hotmail.com.

Thankyou very much
Adam Evans.

PS. As you may know there is we are holding a club round next weekend and
have nothing in the way of trailors for the shuttles. If you were to know
anyone coming from the Sydney or Hunter areas who could possibly bring a
trailor along and if they wished leave it here untill the state round.

This is the directions that I made up for the track location
Directions:

From Sydney:
Follow the pacific highway until you get to the start of the industrial
estate in the township of Kempsey. Turn left into a steet called Middleton
St directly opposite the army reserve barracks. Travel around 18km along
that road till you come to a sharp 45km/h right hand bend. The entrance to
the track is on the outside of this bend. It will be well signed on the day.

From up the coast.
Follow the pacific highway until you get to the township of kempsey. Head
over the traffic bridge till you get past the 1st caltex service station on
your right and turn right into Middleton St opposite the army reserve
barracks. Travel around 18km along that road till you come to a sharp 45km/h
right hand bend. The entrance to the track is on the outside of this bend.
It will be well signed on the day.

Shuttles will be provided on the weekend.
NO camping is available.

The track is 100% complete.
Small run down, The track starts off with some flatish, though flowing single trail, it then duck away very quickly before slowing into some insane switch backs then opening again into a 50km/h plus section into some sweet as berms. This flows into a nice road gap into a gully G-out, then pedal into a small man made rock section. Then quicky flows down to the only uphill push in the track which is easyily done if you cleanly hit the section before hand.
after the rainforest it opens up into a couple of berms into a huge drift corner, then fast into a 30ft jump, you can jump it as far as you wish though from 1cm onwards. Then through the finish. No one as yet has done a timed run, we are estimating 3 minutes roughly. Very fun.
