Just got home from spectating tonight's race. Is XC racing boring? Was the last time you saw an XC boy bust air when Johnny T ruled? Well that has ended now. This is truly Short Track XC racing with a twist and bang!

Successful downhillers, sponsored XC fast boys and hugely talented roadies mix it up on a fast track railing corners and busting big air! I am excited and I only watched! The cyclocross man was in the thick of it again, crossing it up on the table top jump! There was a photographer there. Please post shots!

Next Wednesday I will shed club duties and race as well. Although it will not be as easy as spectating! Soccer moms welcome...

Bah.

When was the last time you saw Captain Fankles get overtaken mid air on a jump by a guy on a cyclocross bike? To top it off the guy on the cyclocross bike was wearing a BA jersey.

That was golden.

Today's race was one of the most fun events i've done, but the course needs to use all the berms at the top. Apart from that todays course was easily a massive improvement over last weeks one.

Opening up that bottom section was a great move.

Cheers to the organisers and I'll be back next week for sure :D

Oh, I forgot to mention some of the cream of Australia's female XC racers were going hard and showing heaps of style. This is an event worth making the effort to get to...

Yeah, thanks to Paul D, Mary F and Hamish M from MWMTB for track maintenance duties. They sweated it earlier in the day to open up the bottom section. Props to these individuals...
