Finally aftewr months of aquiring bits and pieces, the aline is nearly there. I should get my new wheelset (Sun MTX, Dice Hoodoo hubs, DT Swiss spokes)this week.
All I need to do then is sort out a few chainguide issues and I'm all set.

Nice man - looking good in black!
Thinking about a paint change for my frame atm.
Is it just an illusion or is the head angle really steep?

I think the head angle looks steep because the rear end is jacked up higher than it would be with a wheel in it. The esky was all I could find for use as a stand.
I can still raise the ride height about 10mm on the forks, although I was playing around after I took the photo and put the rear dropouts at the height they will be when the wheels are on the frame. The head angle looked to be a lot slacker when I did that.

Yeah I guess - although I was comparing the angle of the seat tube with the head tube.

Yeah, with a 888. A boxxer is going to sit allot lower, I think you'll need that 10mm ;)
Though the super t wasnt too bad on mine (04 dh- same angles)

sammy does this mean that you are now going to ride all the a-lines instead of walking?!?!

That is correct chuck.
The bike is designed to be taken down a lines, even if the rider stops, this bike will conitnue down its chosen path of the a line all by itself if necessary.

chuckrockswell,
I guess a Norco Bline would have been a little more appropriate. I might just change the name with a marker pen.

Youve seen me ride. A race run would be heaps quicker if I left the bike to its own devices. Does the rider need to be on the bike when it crosses the line?
OK so there will be no excuses now an I promis to remain on the bike for the duration of any run.
Smart arses.
