well i just got my forks serviced and new seals and shit form lbs, and i have found out that the travel doesnt work properly, like doesnt use all the travel or even the amount of travel its ment to use, with like anyone, it only uses like 4 inches travel max when doing anything, then it just stops and dosent work anymore. does anyone know wats wrong with them ? cause its kinda anoying having only 4inches travel when they are 7inch forks. oh and these are 02 boxxers the red ones

Sounds like their could be too much oil in there, which is making them cavitate. It could be a few more serious problems, but you should check your oil heights.

not sure about the red boxxers, but i know that the 03 boxxers rely on both spacers and oil to provide the compression and travel settings.
you could have too many spacers, or the wrong weight oil in the legs.
was it the shop that did the fork? if so, did you specify the set up you wanted?
i have my boxxer set up the way yours is at the moment (4" active out of 7" and believe me, when you take huge hits, or really push the fork thru its travel (heavily bermed corner) you will pass thru the remaining inches. its actually pretty good for me. a nice progressive feel..
you may want to look at the oil height, and the oil weight and just fiddle with what feels right...

Are you anoying to the LBS? Maybee they chucked an old spanner in there. Pull your top caps off and have a bit of a look at whats goin on in there. It's safe to compress them slowly with the top caps off to get to the springs and check the oil hight. Do you have a manual? Use it or get one. It will only take you 10minutes to check oil hight. Let the oil drip off the springs before you yank em out.
Although on second thoughts, just take em back to the shop.

These forks are twisted, cracked, and have a buckled staunchion and you expect them to work? Given they're so fucked externally then how can you expect them to even move? I'd be stoked with 4" on those bad boys anyway.
