Hot off the press come the results from the Sea Otter Classic's Gravity Sunday, with Mick Hannah, Jared Graves and Wade Bootes doing Australia proud in the Mens Pro Downhill.

2. Cedric Gracia, Siemens/Cannondale, at .02
3. Mick Hannah, Haro/Lee Dungarees, at .04
4. Eric Carter, Hyundai/Mongoose at 1.7

A first turn tangle between Carter and Bootes in the Mountain Cross final left CK and Mich Hannah to duke it out for the first two places. Queensland boys first, second and fourth in the Mountain Cross, something in the water perhaps?

Katrina Miller was the fastest qualifier for the Women's Mountain Cross, but was involved in a first corner crash with Jamie Lilly in the final. Jill Kitner, a pro BMXer went on to take the women's win from Tara Llanes.

A top weekend of racing saw Eric Carter awarded the Sea Otter Classic's inaugural men's gravity omnium. The women's omnium was taken out by Leigh Donovan, with Tai Lee Muxlow in second.

lol, shawn was never good in the first place... all he did was a couple big doubles and tripples a couple years ago.

Yeah, a few big jumps, a world champs second place, Palmer had nothing :)
also
7 Aussies in the round of 16 and 3 in the round of 8 for slalom
3 Aussies in the Mountain Cross final
Looks to be a big season for the Aussie invasion this year, awesome to see.

you can tell who is fit and who isnt.

that course was a real sprinter -

I'd like to see some good pics or some footage from that track. It doesn't sound that technical, but then again a technical track in our minds might not even rate in theirs.

he was the only real person to get within about a second of nico at a world championchips at carins.in 96. but yeah he sucks if he get out in the first round like an english criketer really.

Another Australian, Chris Kovarik (Intense) was tipped to do well, but riding with clip-in pedals for the first time crashed over the handlebars, ending up 13th fastest.

This is an interesting development - CK is obviouisly looking for more speed
