Hey Fellas,

Just been to bali at the start of the year and got the pics back from dad, theres a re sized image of part of the bomb site for all you who have been , thats only about half a meter of the 10 meter or so banner crossing the site. below is the picture of the main message on it. if you are intrested i have more pics of the site and whats accross the road, the hhuuggee memorial with everybodys name on it who came victim to it, the message from the picture reads:

Spirit Of Oz
You hurt us bombing bali, but we can take the pain,
But if you think you'll brat us you can think a-bloody gain.
we fought at gallipoli and we fought the bloody hun,
of all assholes we've had to face your just another one,
you wont get your hands dity, you wont fire a gun.
whenever danger threatens you just pack up your gear and run,
you brainwash innocent children to do your evil deeds,
careful not to let them know just where it really leads,
untill they cannot see that there's no glory in their dying,
now we'd like to pose a question, answer if you can,
where does the holy book tell you to kill your fellow man?
now listen hard and listen well, were giving you the word,
your never gonna beat us you spineless bloody turd,
you'd never face us personally, you havent got the guts,
you know that if you did we'd have your bloody nuts,
our spirit is unbroken, and our heads are still unbowed,
we sure as hell arent scared of you and your gutless crowd,
so yet you act together -- youll never win because,
what your really up against is the spirit that is OZ....

wow, tell them how it is. That guy has alot of truth in there, and you can tell, alot of pain aswell. He definatly lost someone and he is right, the spirit of OZ is way to high for bombs and cowards to destroy.

Declaration of an ideological war against JI?

Haven't came across such uplifting read in months, the aussie spirit is flying high.

Y'all are gonna hate me now :o

Actually, after writing for the last five minutes, think I might keep this one to myself......

Nice rhyming. Where's the bit that asks "Why...?"

I think that's more important than being adversarial and nationalistic.

I hope no one has to suffer anymore. We suffer enough at the hands of nature without compounding it with our own hatred.

That's about as diplomatic as I can be.

Johnny I don't think there is no reasonable answer to "why".You have to admit it seems to be getting closer to our shores I wish there was a simple answer, maybe they don't have any good downhill tracks over there and there real pissed about it.With the millions of people in this world against it sooner or later we'll come up with an answer I'm sure of that.

I don't like that at all. Not that my opinion counts for anything, but I don't like to be associated with such a declared "spirit of oz". It's the wrong spirit to have.
It's a very "ocker" message, I guess it can be called a poem, but to me it sounds like something a meathead footballer would write in the name of poetry.
Don't take this as any insult to those that died, and those that are suffering from the loss of others. I can imagine that those mourning need a way to vent their feelings and this is one way of expressing themselves, good for them to do so.
To me though, the message is flawed, and to make it public and represent Australia... hmm, I'd rather it not. Too much "us and them", too much crudeness, too much of a taunt/threat as well. All IMO.

They are boming Bali to convert it's major religon. They kill us Australians, Europeons, Americans ect because we bacicly support there country by tourism, if they can get fear into those countrys peoples they wont come to Bali, the cuntry loses all its money and, well dies. If we stop going to there country the people of Bali will put money first and change there belifes which means the terroests will get there own way and use the same or simerlar techneques on us. Not good.

I spose I am just stateing the obvious here but meh.

You know what? I think you might be onto something there mate! :D

Too much "us and them", too much of a taunt/threat as well.
Perfectly said mate. I agree 100%

They are boming Bali to convert it's major religon.
This is part of their reasoning but only a part. I think that there is an absolute plurality of agendas that are far from centralised or coordinated from the top (as some people seem to think, IE: Al Qaeda). I think lack of wordly knowledge due to religion and economy play a part. There is massive missinformation in the underdeveloped Islamic nations concerning Islam and Western culture/intents, just as there is the same in Western nations concerning Islamic nations, religion and culture.

I think this is evidenced by the bombings themselves and the responses such as this poem for the dead.

I would also point back to my earlier essays posted on this site concerning the causes and origins of terrorism.

PS. Eat Fat People, you may wish to proof read your posts before submitting in future to check your spelling! ;)

I totally agree with you. Especially the ocker/footballer part.
