danieln-Its a AC2 yes your right. i ride abit of everything, each year all AC frames are the same no matter what spec. so its just different stickering on the same frame. Where i live it is super sandy and 90% of the tracks i ride are sand.
Shamo- yeh the bobcat isnt bad but almost rolled it this afternoon

the ac's are different. i am not specifically sure what the difference is but it's something to do with the rear suspension from the 2002 model. and another thing is that in all the models from 2002 aparently the cracks problem started happening.

In australia yes they were all the same but look in different magazines and overseas websites and youll find they have different names then what we have here. supposebly they crack, but i had no trouble i know some dudes who have.. however i thrash mine and no probs. i even accedently backed into it with the bobcat and shes all good.

mmm. i heard from someone australian having an aussie ac2 model 2003 i think that snapped the frame really badly.
again i don't know enoghe to say exactly what the diffrences are but i heard that all the models from 2003 and some from 2002 have a tendency to snap.
so yeh.. i don't understand why giant doesn't fix the problem.....

hah, just as i clicked on the picture i caught a glimpse of 'butterfelts' and i wasnt sure whether this was actually what you had written or was the way i had subconciously read it.

yes i did right butterfelts. when i was in thredbo for the interschools i had just got those cranks and i put them on and the granny gear tabs were hitting my chainguide (truvativ as well....you'd think it would work) so i filed it down with a brick for about 5 mins and it filed down like a jiffy, they soft as

Uhh. New frames are fluid formed (2003 onwards) and they have 6.6" travel down the back.
How is the frame handling the triples? I have an AC also (2002) and i'm just wondering if it would hold up to those size forks. How heavy are you?

i ment like for example a 2001 model AC 1,2,3 all share exactly the same frame with the same shock it was just the parts thats were differernt. The best thing i did for that bike was get triples. i weigh 76 kg and am 180cm tall and i would class my self as a hack if that helps. it works like a treat
