Nice bike. Is it true you can't fit a DHX in these bikes? Now that is bad design if it is true.

No DHX.

Not really a bad design, the DHX wasn't around when it was designed and its not worth redoing the whole thing just to fit around it. There are lots of bikes around that don't fit certain shocks.

inoue, your bike is hot!

but why the thomson and ti-fly over the i-beam combo?

i know the thomson and the ti-fly make a killer combo, but i thought that the i-beam pair would be lighter and stronger... no?

5999 for the team, boxxer teams etc, 7999 for the wc with boxxer world cups and better parts all around

Sorry but that doesn't make sense...I have a feeling it wasn't installed properly. I've had my I-Beam for almost 2 years - I crahshed hard, landed on the saddle on boched jumps, etc...and it's still going strong.

Acadian, i know of five different cases of the seats particularly on the DW's breaking, snapping or cracking. There must be some fault.

where is it breaking? at the neck where the pinch bolt is? or is it the saddle mount (on the saddle) that is breaking?

on the I.H website is says the 'american built frames' only come in blue, black, and yellow (or some other colour that isnt green) is that true? its a pitty if they are cos that green is LOUD!

nice ride - why the change to the dorados?

Any bearing problems yet? Seems the US bikes are held up due to this? Frames only maybe...

Inoue
15-03-2005, 08:32 PM
nah no bearing problems yet but i think i might up grade to a nice set soon they are starting to feel a lil shitty.

i upgraded to dorado's cos i've used 888's and boxxers and i wanted to try them cos they seem to be a crowd pleaser.

I cant be happier with them, they work soooo well with the bike, the only thing is i had to pull the legs through the crowns abit to rake the steering angle out and now they're perfect.

yeh all the i-beams break, i broke 2 in 3 weeks. also got all my bearings replaced today and they were shot! totally dead they reckon. had new linkage plate sent out from usa which still had to be grinded back more and now works awsome. I'm also getting a custom bolt kit made thanks to the guys at BA espically "one kill" who has been working on my bike the whole time and seems to know these ironhorse's like the back of his hand!!

I haven't seen the new Sunday here in the States, yet. I have a 2004 World Cup, and I love the bike (once I took the Boxxer off). The Sunday is a sweet looking bike, and I was wondering how it rides?

BTW, the seat will break...my Fizik seat finally broke on my '04...

it rides sweet as.although i had to do lots of stuffing aound with the shock settings and the head angle because of the dorado's but now i'm pretty happy.
the weight isnt to bad. i've got it down to under 17kg now with tubeless and afew other mods
