Buller XC Results

The XC finals in the national MTB season were run today in glorious sunshine into the tall timer of the Victorian alps. A race course of 22km in length with a total climbing per lap of over 500m. This was the most exacting round on the series but the riders were very positive of the long race format.

Elite men rode 2 full laps and the winner, Dylan Cooper (ACT), raced a time of 2h3m22s, only 33 seconds ahead of Perren Delacour followed by Aiden Lefmann (+3m4s).

Elite Women rode a village loop and a full lap was won by Emma Coulson (1h38m44s), 3 minutes ahead of the Series leader Niki Fisher and Caroile Jackson (+6m).

i did this race because my dh bike wasn't ready in time...... holy shit, respect goes out to anyone who did it. toughest race i've ever done, the walking sections broke me.
