Hi everyone, my name is Scott, and I'm an alcoholic.

In other news, me and James (porky on here) have spent the last 4 days straight essentially riding in the city and its surroundings, and today I finally decided to get a few snaps. We met up with Callum from farkin who was on a stuff, and with a guy on a mean Gimp with sherman flicks, and mag30 + holy roller wheelset and ss. Went thru melb, did all the stairgaps, melb uni, windsor jumps, docklands, fed square and more. Never really bothered with camera until a bit today though, so here yas go for a few to look at. Nothing special, but meh.

Also, in the last pic, check out bottoming out of forks! :D

Loves it.

And yes, I manual and wheelie everywhere.

i think be a little more smooth would be better advice, although i couldnt hear or feel the forks bottoming out over the normal clang my biek makes when i land on concrete

So why didn't you post pictures of the starigapping action?

Are you going to post pics of the "bigger stuff"?

BTW coming aprt when dropping to flat from a couple stairs is easily enough to kill you if you flip and whack your noggin wrong. But hey it's your noggin.....

For sure, David Hookes fell over after getting punched, and died from it. Concrete doesn't give much.

Thats all the pics we took...

Sorry, but I define bigger stuff as anything that really is fun for me, and manualling and such is mad fun.

I don't need your advice on helmets, mate.

Ha.. and to think... you were once abusing me for "hucking to flat"... haha

I dont huck 3 metres to flat, numbnuts. Where did I huck to flat? Oh you mean that 3 foot drop? Oh, that "huck", yeah, im a HUCK3R!

Yeah, helmets stop cracked ribs. I'm well aware of the need for helmets- I ride a motorbike every weekend. I know what I'm capable of doing without fucking up, and thats that.

Where did I huck to flat? You're kidding, right
I know what I'm capable of doing without fucking up, and thats that. So did Ayrton Senna......before he died.

Seems you've got an uncanny knack for making friends there Scott. ;)

scottmeister

Ayrton Senna died because of an improperly welded steering column. Nothing he could do about it, and it could happen to anyone. Why, you could stand up and have a heart attack and die right now, and that would be through no fault of your own.

OMG HUCK TO FLAT 3 FEET HIGH! Yeah, what a huck. I 'spose you're just going to keep coming up with some kind of quip every time, so how about you just get the fuck over it already? Got any real issues to complain about?

It would seem you have an uncanny knack for being a pretentious dick who tries a bit too hard to beat everyone in arguments over even the smallest thing?

Yeah, I really care whether or not you or HUCK3R over there like me  I'm not out to make friends on this forum...

Ayrton Senna died because of an improperly welded steering column. Nothing he could do about it, and it could happen to anyone. Kinda like the way something on your bike could fail, even when you're not........going "big".

I 'spose you're just going to keep coming up with some kind of quip every time, Yep
so how about you just get the fuck over it already? Nup. Got any real issues to complain about? Nup.

Well I'm over flaming your no helmet wearing arse. Just thought I'd drop in and say hi :)

Anyway, back to the stairgaps..........hahahahahahaaaaaaa!!

The no helmet period that day was about 3 minutes, to 4 days of straight riding, for the love of the dying pope!

This has dragged on so far its actually kinda funny...

johnny
01-04-2005, 05:16 PM
I thought it was funny the second you posted your pics!

AAAhahahahahaaaaa!

Anyway, now I'm just being immature and pathetic. I'll stop.

Dude, I hope you enjoyed your day riding, you look like you did and good on you. I also hope that you don't ever have the misfortune in being injured in anyway at all.

Your bike looks nice, and I can't even mono let alone manual.

Take it easy.
Johnny.

Yeah really, its his own choice to wear a helmet or not, obviously he knows not wearing it could get him into trouble.
but hey, its just what people do.... and im guessing he doesnt really give a shit if you whine to him on the forums about not wearing a helmet, its really his own complete desicion, no matter what you say on here its not going to change anyones mind about wearing a helmet.

johnny

That's exactly what I said in the first place: easily enough to kill you if you flip and whack your noggin wrong. But hey it's your noggin..... and got told off for my efforts, so I flamed away :) Personally couldn't care less what he does, but he also has a habit of abusing/speaking rudely to other people in their threads (as had been evidenced by Harder Nox's post) so he got the same treatment back.

But as not to start another flame war I'll once again say, it's your/his head, do what you want with it, it's a sweet looking bike he's riding and he looks like he can mono/manual/wheel stand until the cows come home, and that's something that I cannot do.

But there is another issue to think about with helmets (not aimed at you Scott) when people cop head injuries from bikes, the bar gets raised a little higher. Tracks get sued/closed, fines and insurance increase and the police are more strict in enforcing the laws. Everybody loses, not just the bloke/chick with the sore head. That's the reason I want people to wear a lid.

Anyway, I talk too much.

I wear my helmet 99% of the time...that was for 5 minutes as we just had a jumbo slurpee and were sweaty as all hell.

Anyway, whats with all the hucker skaters dropping 1.5 metres to flat on boards at southbank, with no helmets? Now thats stupid.

Harder Nox doesn't like me now because hes a guy who insults other people about the way they ride, and he can't hack it when he gets some back. Maybe if he never bagged me about how crap I supposedly was ages ago, he wouldn't get shit from me for being someone who pushes too hard just to be that little bit better than everyone? Wonder if he can explain all those huge scars and gashes on his arms to everyone? Or a cracked cannondale frame...

This thread just won't die haha.

Can't hack what? that i'm a reasonably good rider? and learn from the critisism i recieve?

In my last post, i was simply explaining the extent of my injuries, of course wearing a helmet isn't gonna stop broken ribs.. but being knocked out isn't exactly the best feeling on earth.

Explinations:

Scars and things: I'm not afraid to go big and I try new stuff, i fall off.. WHOOPDIFUCKINGDOO!!!! I dont care that i cut myself up.

Cannondale Frame: Cannondale's crack, hence there nick name "Crack'n'fail". I pushed it to and past its limits. Puting Monster T's on it didn't help...

Hucking (...to flat): It's just something i did.. dont do it much anymore. I hucked to flat from tall stuff like fed and my garage roof.. big deal, i had to discover it was shit somehow!? i learnt from it, and believe it or not developed some skills, just like ur doing by hucking to flat from 3ft... u started from 3ft, i started from 10'2"

hence there nick name "Crack'n'fail"All bikes fail, but Cannondales nickname wasn't derived from having an overly high failure rate (as far as I know anyway).
