Quick Question about stems

hey guys

ive heard the stems that come stock on giant stp2s crack/break
so i was thinking i need a new stem, but money is short, so because i have a few bmx mates, i thought id just get one of their old stems

the stem i got was a "TNT" bmx stem

now what im wondering is, will it fit my bike (exr comps) and is it worth changing stems around, is the stp2 stem better than the tnt stem??

could i please get a quick response as i want to do it by tonight

a bmx stem will fit the steerer of your forks but it wont fit mtb handlebars.

would some .243 bmx bars fit?? because at phantomcycles.com the .243 bmx bars, which ive seen on many mtb stems, is advertised in the bmx section only

say it did fit, would it be worth the trouble?? will it be any stronger??
